This tournament is in honor of my dad, John Angelo, who passed away in 2019 after a courageous fight against Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma.The Resilient Open is more than just a tournament—it’s a day to come together to raise funds, remember those we've lost, and support those still fighting. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Visionaries of the Year campaign is a 10-week philanthropic competition for leaders in local communities across the United States.Candidates and their team members raise funds for LLS in honor of local blood cancer survivors, our Honored Heroes. The title "Visionary of the Year" is awarded to the candidate whose team raises the most funds during the competition. The top Visionaries of the Year candidate in the country is awarded with the national title.To honor my dad means ensuring that his fight leads to progress. Every dollar raised, every person reached, and every effort made in this campaign is a step toward that goal.
